The Levenhuk D90L LCD Digital Microscope is a biological microscope with a 2MP digital camera. It does not have a standard eyepiece tube: it is replaced with an LCD screen, which is much more convenient to use for lengthy observations. The image is transmitted to the screen from the objective in real-time mode. In addition, there is a photo and video recording option. The microscope is suitable for conducting microbiological research as well as for creating digital archives of observations. The head can be rotated 360°. On the head, there are control buttons for operating the digital camera, slots for connecting external devices, and a memory card slot. The objectives are already installed in the revolving nosepiece: these are achromatic objectives with 4x, 10x, 40x, and 100x magnification. The 40x and 100x objectives have spring-loaded frames that protect the front lens from accidental damage. The 100x objective is used for oil immersion. Under a revolving nosepiece, there is a stage with a mechanical scale. Below, there is an Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm and a filter holder. Underneath, there is a lighting unit consisting of an LED light with a collector. The lighting is powered by an AC power supply, and its brightness is adjustable.
