Doormats — Description

A doormat at the door stops up to 80 % of the dirt and moisture that would otherwise reach the floor – the cheapest way to mop less and protect parquet. The category offers coir doormats 40x60 cm straight and half-round in natural, brown and black, plus line and check patterns, rubber doormats 45x75 cm in golden brown, grey, beige zigzag and with a rubber edge, and 80x120 cm for large entrances. For outdoor areas and public buildings there are PVC loop mats 66x185, 100x120, 100x150 and 150x180 cm in red, green, grey and brown that can be cut to size. A fire-resistant grill underlay 100x120 cm is also available to protect decking. Coir is stiff and scrapes off mud and snow well but does not tolerate constant moisture – it belongs under a canopy or indoors. A textured rubber doormat withstands rain and frost and does not slip on tiles, while a PVC loop mat lets dirt fall through and can be hosed down, making it right for a shop or office entrance with heavy traffic. When choosing a size, remember the mat should be at least as wide as the door and long enough for two steps – 40x60 cm suits a flat door, 80x120 cm and larger a house entrance. The best solution is two mats: a coarse one outside and an absorbent one inside. Fast delivery across Latvia.
