The SONOFF MINIR4 is a compact Wi-Fi switch that transforms traditional electrical installations into a smart home system. This device automates lighting and other electrical appliances, allowing convenient control via a mobile app and voice assistants. Measuring just 39.5 × 33 × 16.8 mm, the module easily fits into various electrical boxes, even those with limited space. It is 40% smaller than the MINIR2 model and 60% smaller than the MINIR3, simplifying installation in standard European junction boxes. The housing, made of PC V0 material with the highest flame-retardant rating, enhances resistance to high temperatures, and the relay is rated for up to 100,000 switching cycles. At its core, the MINIR4 features a dual-core ESP32 chip for fast, stable operation and efficient handling of automation functions. It is compatible with doorbell buttons, classic light switches, SPDT switches, exit buttons, and sensors with potential-free contacts, ensuring easy integration into new and existing control systems. The switch supports smart scenes, working with motion, door, and window sensors to create advanced automation scenarios, such as automatically turning on lights when motion is detected or a door is opened. It also offers time schedules, countdowns, and recurring timers. When paired with SONOFF R5 or S-MATE devices, they can act as local remote controls via the eWeLink-Remote signal. Additionally, the device is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home voice assistants. The MINIR4 includes Detach Relay mode, separating the connected switch's state from the relay's, so operating the physical switch does not affect the module's controlled device. It also has a delayed startup function after a power outage to reduce high inrush currents. The switch can be integrated with the Home Assistant platform for expanded smart home automation and supports eWeLink Web and IFTTT via the eWeLink Advanced plan.
