When correctly installed, the effective value typically deviates by less than 10% from the nominal rating. Experience shows that the actual performance is often higher than the nominal rating, so when in doubt, choose a slightly weaker spring. To achieve the desired muzzle velocity optimally, various components and combinations such as spring, piston head, and cylinder head may need to be tested.
