The UNI-T UT682 wire locator is a versatile diagnostic tool designed for installers and service technicians of networks, telephony, and low-voltage systems. Fast cable localization and testing: The UT682 allows efficient tracking of cables over long distances — up to 3,000 meters for telephone lines and up to 320 meters for unshielded cables. It also supports line continuity testing, short circuit and break detection, DC voltage polarity determination, and checking connection sequences in LAN cables with 9 LEDs. Diagnostics with light and sound: Equipped with signal strength light indication and adjustable receiver volume for precision work in challenging conditions. Cable tracking is also supported in active switchboards. Robust design and battery power: Powered by classic 9V batteries for immediate use without waiting for a recharge.
