MAINTENANCE and USE

The Equalizer stem requires a steerer tube with a diameter of 28.6 mm (1 1/8”).

The use of a 5 mm spacer on top of the stem is recommended to provide sufficient clamping surface at the top.

Make sure that the steerer tube is the correct length – there should be a 2–3 mm gap from the top of the spacer or stem to the top of the steerer tube. If the steerer tube needs to be modified to fit, make sure it is cut flat.

Please check the tightening torque of all bolts twice a year. Also check the stem and handlebar for damage and visible cracks. If there is any damage, stop using the part. Replace it immediately. Failure to do so may result in serious injury.
