2N Access Unit M RFID 13.56 MHz

The slim 2N Access Unit M access reader combines the functions of a controller and reader in a single device with support for 13.56 MHz RFID and NFC technology.

The reader is designed for access control systems in office buildings and other facilities. A single UTP cable is sufficient for both connection and power supply – the device supports PoE 802.3af. Thanks to its slim design (133 × 50 × 27 mm), it can be installed even on narrow door frames.

The reader supports MIFARE DESFire EV2/EV3 cards encrypted with 2N PICard technology to protect against access card cloning. All decision-making logic is integrated directly in the device – the reader operates without the need for permanent server communication. Unit management is handled via a secure web interface or 2N Access Commander software.

Inputs and Outputs
The device features two inputs in passive or active mode (–30 V to +30 V DC). A protective switch is automatically included in the unit. Audio signalling is provided by an integrated buzzer (1 W/8 Ω).

Network Protocols and Security
The reader supports DHCP opt. 66, SMTP, TFTP, HTTP, HTTPS and Syslog protocols. Communication is secured with RSA-1024 and AES-128 encryption.

Mounting Accessories
Separately supplied mounting boxes are available for installation: flush-mount installation box 9161210 (127 × 68 × 40 mm) and surface-mount installation box 9161220 (134 × 52 × 27 mm).
